The team of Whatsapp continues to churn out innovations to make the instant messaging platform increasingly functional and usable for users. According to the latest information circulating online, a new innovation is coming to the platform, namely the possibility of marking chats and contacts as favorites, so as to separate them from more occasional conversations.
The new function
According to the portal Hdblog.itsigns that suggested this new function had already been found in the recent Beta releases for iO clients, in version 24.3.10.70. In fact, those in the sector had found traces of code that referred to this functionality. A feature that shouldn’t come completely unexpectedly, given that WhatsApp has already allowed you to save at least individual messages among your favourites, to separate them from the larger whole.
And now the possibility of setting how would be in the testing phase favorites both contacts and chats, making the experience on the platform easier and more streamlined. We will probably proceed with the creation of a label, which will lead to the formation of an area reserved only for those contacts and conversations deemed most important. The user will therefore be able to personalize their account more.
In essence we are talking about proceeding by applying a sort of tags which separates the selected elements. Numbers and contacts can be added to the favorites list by tapping the button in the appropriate menu. Thanks to the internal search, it will then be possible to access all your favorite contents, saved in a sort of dedicated area.
However, it is one function still in the work phase, so it is not yet possible to have precise details. Everything is still in development.
Greater security
Another point on which WhatsApp is focusing is that of safety. The technicians are also working to guarantee greater protection, from a transversal point of view, for all those devices connected to a single user.
After the introduction of private chats with padlock, here we are looking for a further procedure to protect the security of conversations on each device, so as to avoid the dissemination of data.
