Just before 7pm Italian time, thousands of users around the world flocked to social media to understand whether it was just their problem or a general one and the answer was the second: WhatsApp has undergone a malfunction which mainly affected sending messages to other users. A gradual recovery, according to reports, occurred starting from 7.30 pm. To a lesser extent, the connections and services of Facebook and Instagram were also difficult.
What happened
Just go to the Downdetector website to realize what has happened: as shown by the graph updated in real time, user reports on the various problems have increased. At 7.15pm, 67% complained about sending messages, 31% complained about problems with the app and only 2% complained about the website.
