The head of theFsb Russian, Alexander Bortnikov, provided detailed allegations, saying the attackers were trained by Ukrainian intelligence in the Middle East. According to Bortnikov, such individuals would be welcomed in Ukraine as heroes, causing great concern among the international media and heightening tensions between Moscow and Kiev. “We believe that the action was prepared both by the Islamic radicals themselves and, of course, by Western intelligence services, and the Ukrainian intelligence services themselves are directly connected to this,” the FSB chief emphasized. ”
In response to these serious episodes, Bortnikov announced that Russia will adopt retaliatory measures. He also declared the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirylo Budanov, as a legitimate target, raising the possibility of an escalation in the conflict.

Meanwhile, arrests continue, following the arrest of 11 people, including the four alleged perpetrators of the massacre. Today the authorities arrested Alisher Kasimovsuspected of having hosted the attackers, although Kasimov denied any knowledge regarding the real identities of these people.
