Good news for the workers of Trasnova, Logitech and Teknoservice. After the meeting that took place at the Ministry of Labor this morning, Thursday 30 April, the companies withdrew the dismissal procedures which concerned approximately 230 workers overall.
The dismissals withdrawn
The turning point was announced through a joint note by Samuele Lodi, Fiom-Cgil national secretary and mobility sector manager, and Ciro D’Alessio, national automotive coordinator for Fiom-Cgil: “Today Trasnova, Logitech and Teknoservice announced the withdrawal of the dismissal procedure and consequent activation of social safety nets for all workers until the end of the year with the possibility of extension. This first result, for which we have fought since the beginning of the dispute, represents an indispensable step in creating the conditions necessary to activate real paths for the relocation of workers.
The “ball” passes to Mimit
“It is now necessary to follow up on the announcements made at Mimit regarding the possibility of re-employing all the workers at the two companies that have expressed interest in settling in the industrial area of Pomigliano – continues the note -. As Fiom we ask the institutions involved to plan, in a short time, a calendar of meetings to discuss the merits of the industrial and employment plans. We are aware that today represents an important moment but that it certainly does not close this difficult dispute which involves hundreds of workers who ask for guarantees for a future job and dignity”. In detail, the dispute concerned 94 workers from Trasnova, a company that deals with logistics in the Italian Stellantis factories, of which 53 were employed in the Pomigliano d’Arco car factory, in the province of Naples, to which must be added 90 workers from Logitech and another 48 from Teknoservice.
