She insisted that although the idea of instituting curfews in the residence halls was suggested, it would better serve the students, in her opinion, if there remain none.
“It’s been talked about,” said Landry. “Parents would ask, ‘Why don’t you have curfews?’ Well, the students are adults, and they curfew themselves. It’s something we talk about, but we’ve always been under the impression that, if you give the students the responsibility, they’re going to do the right thing. Those who don’t will see their grades suffer. The speeches and talks highlight that ‘You are responsible for your actions.’”
